Chuck Butler of Ashland, Oregon, has been the owner of Butler Automotive Group in Ashland and Medford, consisting of four dealerships, since 1976. He is also a partner in Capital Associates in Medford, a commercial finance company and Commercial Property Managment in Medford and Ashland. He is a graduate of University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in business management. He currently serves on the Endowment Board of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Ashland Community Hospital Foundation. Chuck Butler has served as a Director on the Oregon Cultural Trust and has served on the Board of Directors of the Southern Oregon University Foundation, Ashland Community Hospital Foundation (past President), Ashland Rotary Club, San Fransisco Region and Seattle Region Ford Dealers Advertising Association, and the Southern Oregon University Raider Club. He is or has been a member of the Ford Dealer Council, the Acura Dealer Council, the Ashland Lions Club, the Medford Skal Club (past President), and the Ashland Rotary Club. He was awarded Community Service Award by Jackson County, the Citizen of the Year Award by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the Distinguished Service Award from the Ashland Community Hospital and the Corporate Partner of the Year Award by Southern Oregon Public Television in 1995. He has been in the automobile business for 49 years and has been a dealer for 19 different manufacturers. His automobile dealerships have won many awards from the Ford Motor Company and Honda Motor Company, including the Blue Oval Certificate and the Precision Team Award by the Acura Division for outstanding customer satisfaction.
